Managing Director
Seow Cheow Seng
Cheow Seng is the Managing Director of Protégé Associates. Cheow Seng oversees the daily business operations of Protégé Associates and focuses on overseeing sales, marketing and customer relationship with clients. His consulting experience and expertise revolves around the area of strategic corporate and market advisory services which includes business development, merger and acquisitions, reverse take-over, market penetration strategies, etc. Currently, his focus is to grow Protégé Associates business in areas of brand, finance and market for Asia Pacific region and also providing consulting and advisory services for business listing in new boards such as the AIM and ASX Boards in UK and Australia respectively. With Cheow Seng’s guidance, Protégé Associates opened its new office in Hong Kong through Synaptien Inc. with the main focus of handling research in Greater Mainland China.
Before joining Protégé Associates, Cheow Seng has been with Frost & Sullivan for 7 years and is among the pioneer group since the company’s inception in Malaysia. Since then, he has been involved in a variety of diverse industries including Communication and Information Technology, Automotive and Transportation, Electronic and Semiconductor, Energy and Power Supplies, Auto ID and Smart Cards, Aerospace and Defense and Healthcare before heading the Financial Services division in Asia Pacific. Some of his key automotive clients include General Motors, Toyota, EON, Proton, TATA, AC Delco, Automotive Lighting to name just a few.
Whilst with the company, Cheow Seng has expanded the business scope for Frost & Sullivan in previously untapped areas. In Malaysia, Cheow Seng also spearheaded the commissioning of ‘Independent Market Research’ reports for companies seeking to list in various markets in Asia Pacific. Under Cheow Seng’s guidance, Frost & Sullivan has successfully submitted over 150 IMRs for the region. He has also developed the due diligence format with MDV and has today conducted over 30 due diligence work funding some of the latest revolutionary technologies in Asia Pacific.
Before joining Frost & Sullivan, he had a brief working period with Mobil Oil. Prior to beginning his working career in Malaysia, he lived in various places such as Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand and Australia.
Cheow Seng holds a Master in Business Administration from Charles Sturt University, Australia and a Bachelor of Business specialising in Marketing from RMIT University, Australia.

Dr. Tan Chin How
Chin How is the Director and Principal Consultant of Protégé Associates. His consulting experience and expertise revolves around the area of market research, business strategy decoding, brand management and research, brand valuation studies, organizational analysis, design and restructuring, industrial analysis and benchmarking, and consumer research with organization from various industries.
He also possesses a wide range of in-depth and focused industry and business knowledge acquired through his various engagements with companies in multiple industries. His clients ranged from the banking, electrical & electronic engineering, food & beverage, oil and gas, chemical, manufacturing, retailing, smart card, information technology, renewable energy, plastic, automotive and marketing to various other sectors.
Chin How has also provided his market research expertise to government agencies such as Malaysian Technology Development Corporation Sdn Bhd, Department of Fisheries Malaysia and Malaysian Green Technology Corporation.
He started his career with the Securities Commission of Malaysia. He then joined the Financial Division of Frost & Sullivan, a global consulting company covering the Asia Pacific region where the successfully delivered over 30 Independent Market Search reports for submission to the Securities Commission including industries such as plastic inject mould fabrication market, window film industry, sports apparel market, manufacturing process management software market, mechanical and electrical engineering support industry, oil palm industry, and various other industries.
His last posting before joining Protégé Associates was with Hay Group, one of the world’s top human resources and organizational consulting company, where he specialises in organisational behavioural and structural analysis, job evaluation, emotional intelligence, leadership development, performance management system, career and talent management, competency modelling, balance scorecard and various other human resource related interventions.
Chin How holds a Doctor in Business Administration from HELP University, Master in Business Administration from Charles Sturt University, Australia, and a Bachelor of Science in Computing from University of Portsmouth, UK. He is also a Microsoft Certified System Engineer.
